ABOUT FEELING VALUE
Everyone has their own personal values, which can subconsciously influence their actions and interactions in the workplace. Left to chance, this can lead to disagreements and conflict.
Values-led businesses know their people are their greatest asset. If personal and business values are truly nurtured and harmonised, then huge benefits can be seen, manifested in an energy of commitment, trust, and increased productivity.
Mike Brewer has developed Feeling Value to increase the human and financial returns of projects, organisations, products and services.
He uses his lifelong experiences and success in over 100 projects over 40 years to formulate humanised, bespoke programmes to suit his clients’ needs, combining mentorship, facilitation and advice with a uniquely personal touch. His connection with the real world ensures that a better quality of life can be achieved alongside value for money.

“A positive mind finds all the ways it can be done,
and a negative mind looks for all the ways it cannot”
A powerful mantra at the heart of Feeling Value.
“Everyone is different, but everyone is equal.”
Leadership and management are all about people, and their interaction as teams to produce results with a profit. But is your team fully engaged and creating the expected productivity?
There is always room for improvement and nowhere more so than within teams where the integration of backgrounds, personalities, and company culture are the predominant variables.
If people do not feel valued at work, then the accomplishment of meaningful work could be as low as 60%. So what are the reasons?
-
- Are communications between people, teams, and departments flowing productively, or are there disjoints?
- Do team members trust each other and feel free to speak up whatever the situation?
- Does the team have motivation and spirit to produce?
- Are company procedures humanised and ‘fit for purpose’, or are they restricting efficiency?
- Can your team function without internet or power, or is some enlightenment needed?
More than likely, you can feel that something is not quite right, and that is exactly where Feeling Value can assist in bringing it out into the open, and work with you to develop the “oomph” and implement improvements.
“Project Management consists of a structure of systems and procedures to achieve goals, yet surveys show that over 40% of projects do not finish on time, or within budget.”
- What is the reason for this? Do the practitioners understand how to apply the methods in the real world?
- Do they just sit at their computers all day and become post boxes for information in and information out?
- Do they comprehend the programmes that the planners have produced, and have the ability to visualise them being carried out with the appropriate resources?
- Do the contractors ‘feel’ and practice the collaboration needed to achieve the projects’ KPIs?
- Are the Stakeholders informed and energised about the project?
Feeling Value brings solutions to these kind of difficulties by the application of humanisation and technical expertise.
“We all have our own personal values which govern our behaviour and integration with the world around us. But are you aware of them? More than likely, you are not.”
If you are aware then your perception of life will be better and lead to more fulfilment.
- Did you notice and appreciate anything yet today? If so, what? How did it make you feel?
- Do you have a sense of purpose and know on a continuous basis what you are doing, and the achievements – however little – that you are going to make?
- Do you feel valued in your work, and if not, do you realise the negative effects that it has on you, your colleagues, and the company you work for?
- Do you interact well with people and feel energised when you communicate?
- Maybe these comments resonate somehow with your inner self, and thoughts are now springing to mind which need some cultivation?
Feeling Value is equipped to assist with these feelings and develop them for improved usage both at work and in life.
“Everything that is carried out in our world is done for human benefit.”
Think about it for a few moments and you will begin to realise that this is true; the only exception is nature, where we must interact and use it for its benefit as well as ours.
We all desire money and need it to survive in life, but how much do we really need? When consideration is given to the human benefits as well as the financial benefits, the value of both types of benefit become more worthwhile. In fact, the balance of obtaining human benefits with value for money is the most satisfying achievement available for our wellbeing and fulfilment.
- Are you satisfied with your most recent purchase? If more consideration were given to the human and financial benefits would you be happier?
- Do businesses consider and promote the human and financial benefits of their operations, as well as the products or services that they provide? Is something missing, or can be improved
- Are your happiest memories based on financial or human benefits? More than likely they are human, so were they achieved with value for money?
- Do you appreciate the benefit of time spent with your family, friends and on your own? Are you managing to get sufficient time?
Feeling Value raises awareness of benefits and finds tailor-made ways to make them more apparent and achievable for appreciation in the real world.
BIO
As a “seasoned veteran” with more than 40 years of professional experience, Mike uses his values, integrity, and knowledge for the benefit of those around him by giving purposeful direction for fulfilment. This was demonstrated on a recent assignment where his colleagues affectionately called him “Pops”.
Most of his experience is in project management, but with a few years of owning a boutique and working in hospitality, he has been exposed to different environments. This includes living and working in England, Wales, Jersey (C.I.), Cyprus, Qatar and finally Malta which he considers home.
He enjoys and practices the values of family, nature, respect, clarity, KISS (keep it simple stupid), swimming in the sea, “life’s little pleasures”, and integrating with everyone in his own unique manner.
